Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the concept of freedom of belief, specifically in relation to its inviolability and exercise protected by religious freedom. The chosen problem stems from the observation of frequent violations by state agents in ensuring freedom of belief and religious freedom for believers. It is necessary to provide a more concise summary of the decision made in Public Civil Action No. 1070617-05.2023.4.06.3800 by the 3rd Federal Civil Court of Belo Horizonte SSJ, in order to fully understand the disagreement surrounding its grounds. This research is theoretical and based on a review of relevant literature. The approach is qualitative and descriptive, with a focus on analyzing Supreme Court decisions as case studies.
